We were out for an evening in the Berkley neighborhood on Tennyson, when we stumbled upon Local 46 and stopped in for a beer. The atmosphere is laid back, kitschy and energetic. Since the weather was perfect we opted to hang out on the patio. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a beer and conversation.
The staff was friendly and attentive and were up to date on their upcoming events. They have a calendar full of performers, karaoke and DJ’s. The one down side, which seems to be a trend these days, is they don’t have a kitchen. They have area restaurants that will deliver food and food trucks but nothing on-site (at least when we were there). So while you can get food, it takes a bit of effort. As for the drink selection, they have some local brews on tap, a wine and cocktail list, nothing notable or outstanding. The definite draw to this establishment is the entertainment and the atmosphere.
New Restaurants Denver had an enjoyable experience and will definitely be back to check out some performers or the ever entertaining karaoke. This would be a fun place to hang out with a group for a casual night out or on a beautiful sunny day on the patio. If you are in the area stop in and check out Local 46 http://www.local46bar.com.
